Searching for the Best Wines of Sicily
My passion for the world of wine led me to become a sommelier.
My passion for this fantastic country led me to come to Malta very, very often…and what happened then?
I decided to combine these two passions into a company: Wine World Kultura! After days of pondering,
I came up with this name that means a lot to me. I’ll try to explain it in a few words.
First of all I would like to make a premise: wine is not just a beverage. A beverage is something you drink when you are thirsty, wine is much more.
Wine is something to sip with a bit of attention, if you want to appreciate it entirely. More you know about wine, where it comes from, how it’s made, more you will enjoy it.
And here we’ve got the meaning of the words “Wine Kultura”, the culture of wine with the word “culture”
spelled in Maltese. I added the word “World” because behind wine there is a whole world to discover!
What comes next? Well I set up the company and then I needed the wines. Living in Sicily, the region with
most vineyard of Italy, I decided to take a look around and see what I could find. Well, it was a very difficult
choice because there are so many good quality wine-producing wineries.
After visiting many of them and tasting about twohundred wines, I made my choice:
Ottoventi Winery in Valderice, province of Trapani,
Feudo Disisa in the DOC Monreale and
Alessandro di Camporeale.
