Wine Tasting at Rampila Restaurant in Valletta on Sunday May 6th, 2018 from 4,30 to 6,30 PM

Looking for a great way to spend a pleasant afternoon in good company and a glass of wine? At the Rampila Restaurant Terrace, of course, with the suggestive sight of the Valletta City Gate and Bridge.

This is the idea that inspired Alan, Valerio and Marilyn while organizing this pre-summer Wine Tasting Event at this historically fascinating venue. The Rampila Restaurant situated at the Hasting Gardens, in the heart of Valletta, dates back to the 16th century when the Knights of St. John built it as part of the difensive bastions of the city.

This Wine and Food Tasting is the first event of an interesting project in partnership between Rampila Restaurant, Malta Tours & Tickets and Wine World Kultura.

Marilyn our sommelier will guide you through this tasting experience giving a few notions about wines, how they are made, where they come from but also how to choose and match wine to food.

During this first event we will be tasting Sicilian wines paired to typical Maltese nibbles. The wines tasted are:

Anymus Charmat Sparkling Wine with enticing aromas of tropical fruits, intriguing freshness and palate-tickling bubbles;

Punto 8 Grillo  with Mediterranean scents, subtle fruitiness, great minerality and sapidity;

Punto 20 Nero d’Avola with its typical herbal and balsamic notes, red fruits and long aftertaste;

Scibà Zibibbo Sweet Wine great meditation wine with fascinating scents of dried figs, honey and apricot;

Sicily Lemon Cream a unique, homemade treat for your palate with creamy, delicious aromas and flavours of green lemons and Sicily.

Wines will be accompanied by nibbles to enjoy between a sip and a chat, including:
Ftira with Tomatoe Paste, Peppered Goat Cheese, Bigilla and Galletti and Stuffed Olives.
